1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By accessing or using the services provided by JR Copier ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), including but not limited to the rental, lease, purchase, or servicing of office equipment, you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
2. SERVICES PROVIDED
JR Copier provides the following services:
- Sale, rental, and lease of copiers, printers, and office equipment
- Maintenance and repair services
- Supply of toner, parts, and consumables
- Installation and setup services
- Technical support and consultation
3. EQUIPMENT RENTAL/LEASE TERMS
3.1 Rental Period
The rental period begins on the delivery date and continues for the duration specified in your rental/lease agreement.
3.2 Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the equipment only for its intended purpose
- Maintain the equipment in good working condition
- Not modify, alter, or tamper with the equipment
- Report any malfunctions or damage immediately
- Allow authorized personnel to inspect and service the equipment
- Return the equipment in the same condition as received (normal wear and tear excepted)
3.3 Ownership
All rented or leased equipment remains the property of JR Copier unless explicitly purchased.
4. PAYMENT TERMS
4.1 Pricing
All prices are subject to change without notice unless specified in a written agreement.
4.2 Payment Due
- Rental/lease payments are due on the dates specified in your agreement
- Service charges are due upon completion unless otherwise agreed
- Purchase payments are due as specified in the sales agreement
4.3 Late Payments
Late payments may incur a fee of 1.5% per month or the maximum allowed by law, whichever is less.
4.4 Taxes
Customer is responsible for all applicable taxes unless exempt (valid exemption certificate required).
5. SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE
5.1 Included Services
Basic maintenance as specified in your service agreement is included. This typically covers:
- Regular preventive maintenance
- Replacement of normal wear parts
- Technical support during business hours
5.2 Excluded Services
The following are not covered unless specifically included:
- Damage due to misuse, negligence, or unauthorized modifications
- Consumables (paper, staples, etc.) unless specified
- Network setup and IT services
- Damage from external causes (power surges, natural disasters, etc.)
5.3 Response Times
We strive to respond to service calls within 4-8 business hours, though response times may vary based on location and service level agreement.
6. LIABILITY AND WARRANTIES
6.1 Equipment Warranty
- New equipment comes with manufacturer's warranty
- Used equipment warranty terms are specified in the sales agreement
- Rental equipment is warranted to function properly during the rental period
6.2 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JR COPIER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE.
6.3 Total Liability
Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific service or equipment that gave rise to the claim.
7. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JR Copier, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use or misuse of the equipment
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
8. TERMINATION
8.1 Termination by Customer
You may terminate services as specified in your agreement, subject to any early termination fees.
8.2 Termination by JR Copier
We may terminate services immediately if:
- You breach these Terms or your agreement
- You fail to make payments when due
- You use the equipment illegally or inappropriately
8.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, you must:
- Return all equipment immediately
- Pay all outstanding charges
- Cease using any JR Copier services
9. PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION
9.1 Information Collection
We collect only necessary information to provide services and process transactions.
9.2 Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, data stored on or transmitted through equipment is your responsibility.
9.3 Equipment Data
You are responsible for removing all data from equipment before return or service. We are not responsible for any data loss.
10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All JR Copier trademarks, service marks, and proprietary information remain our exclusive property.
11. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
11.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
11.2 Arbitration
Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Dallas County, Texas, in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association.
11.3 Exceptions
Small claims court actions and injunctive relief for intellectual property violations are excluded from arbitration.
12. GENERAL PROVISIONS
12.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any signed agreements, constitute the entire agreement between parties.
12.2 Modifications
We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of services after modifications constitutes acceptance.
12.3 Severability
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in effect.
12.4 Assignment
You may not assign your rights or obligations without our written consent.
12.5 Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond reasonable control.

14. SPECIAL PROVISIONS FOR SPECIFIC SERVICES
14.1 Managed Print Services
Additional terms apply for managed print services, including page volume commitments and overage charges as specified in your agreement.
14.2 Short-Term Rentals
Equipment rented for less than 30 days may have different terms and higher rates.
14.3 Purchase Option
Lease-to-own options are subject to separate terms and credit approval.
By using JR Copier's services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
